Place 2: Osiris
What makes Osiris so strong? Osiris is a mastermind and has a lot on his resume as a former Warlock Vanguard. During the Battle of the Six Fronts, many Fallen tried to destroy the Last City when the walls were not yet erected.
Osiris emerged as a hero in this battle, as he could be present at various attack points of the Fallen simultaneously, thanks to his reflections. Unfortunately, his obsession with the Vex led to his banishment.
He disappeared to Mercury and continued studying the Vex to identify possible dangers to humanity. In the Infinite Forest, a massive digital world of the Vex, Osiris discovered a simulation where the machines won and wiped out both Light and Darkness.
After his discovery, he had to flee and tried to inform the Vanguard of the Vex’s plans by saving his Ghost shell. He managed to survive for a long time without a Ghost shell, is responsible for many of the Vanguard’s victories, can deal well in battle, and still helps humanity fight for survival.
Place 1: Saint-14
What makes Saint-14 so strong? The presumably strongest Guardian in Destiny 1 & 2 is Saint-14. This relentless Titan stands up for his principles and helps humanity. Together with the Speaker, they reached the settlement that would later become the Last City.
He helped countless people survive and even killed a Kell of the Fallen with just a headbutt. When Osiris was banished, he followed his love and tried to bring him back to the Last City.
He entered the Infinite Forest not knowing that he would be trapped there forever. Time in the Forest passes differently than in the real world, and fans assume that he spent thousands of years fighting against the Vex just to find Osiris.
And even though he ran out of ammo, he continued to fight until the Vex, out of fear, created a Vex Ghost that could drain the light from Saint-14.
Without this trick, they could have never defeated him. Though the Vex have no empathy, they created a tomb to honor Saint-14 after his death, filled with the countless Vex he has slain over the years. Saint-14 is and remains a legend and unmatched in battle.
