Destiny 2 starts next week on Tuesday its 21st season. So that you know which exotics might be interesting and which you should take with you, we show you in our overview the 9 most interesting options.
What will change? Bungie has revealed quite a bit for the upcoming Season 21, because not only enemy shields will be changed, but also exo weapons and -armors will be adjusted. Our Destiny author Christos has looked at the changes and will show you which exotics you should definitely have ready at the start of the new season.

Hunter
Mask of Bakris
Why this exotic? The Mask of Bakris receives an increased damage buff in PvE and an additional buff in PvP:
- PvE from 10% to 25% more damage for arc weapons or against slowed or frozen enemies
- PvP to 6% more damage for arc weapons or against slowed or frozen enemies
With this buff, the mask could become a better option especially in PvE, because there are many strong arc weapons used for damage phases or bosses.
Oathkeeper
Why this exotic? The exotic will now give your bow increased damage when drawn. The longer it is drawn, the higher the damage, until the damage bonus eventually disappears with too long a draw time.
This combo could become a terrible meta in PvP, which our author Britta already predicted.
Titan
Point Contact Cannon Stand
Why this exotic? The exotic will now startle enemies. Additionally, the PvE damage of lightning strikes is increased from 50 to 200. The enhancement will now increase the damage of lightning strikes by 50% instead of increasing their range.
Paired with the Thunderlord, a strong combo could emerge, in which you will submerge everything in a storm full of lightning.
No Plan B
Why this exotic? No Plan B is completely reworked:
- Now provides a moderate advantage for aerial effectiveness and shotgun reload speed.
- As long as you have an empty overshield, shotguns do extra damage and shotgun kills refresh your overshield.
- If you use a void focus, rapid shotgun kills or defeating a powerful enemy with a shotgun will grant you a void overshield and kickstart your health regeneration.
With these changes indicated by Bungie, No Plan B could become the new meta for PvP gorillas. A void barricade from Titans is enough for a Titan to regain a void shield per Guardian kill. I can already tell you, you will not forget this exotic in Season 21.
Warlock
Chromatic Fire
Why this exotic? With the Chromatic Fire, the radius of your explosion after a kinetic kill is increased. Additionally, you apply status effects to your enemies depending on which focus you have equipped:
- Arc will blind
- Strand will sever
- Void will weaken
- Solar will scorch
- Stasis will slow
An exotic that could be particularly interesting for ad-clear or even for everyday use.
Evening Devotion of Radius
Why this exotic? Your rift will generate an arc shockwave every 5 seconds that deals damage:
- PvE: 200 damage
- PvP: 70 damage
If enemies are defeated, they explode in an arc light and deal 100 damage. If you have equipped your arc focus, your exploding enemies will even blind more nearby enemies.
Here too, a good PvE exotic could emerge, which can be worn in between for strikes or nightfalls. This way, you can safely stand in a rift and punish nearby enemies.
Weapons
Eyes of Tomorrow
Why this exotic? The exotic was far too inefficient for what it was originally built for.
That’s why Bungie has now ensured that for every 4 different kills you aim at, you will get back 1 rocket. If you play your cards right, you could never run out of ammunition. Perfect for taking down many hordes of enemies.
Workhorse
Why this exotic? The Workhorse is good, but still not good enough, which is why Bungie has given the machine gun a new explosive perk. Every 20th shot ends in an explosion. If the weapon is fully charged, you need fewer shots to activate explosions.
Combine that as a Titan with the chest exotic “Actium War Rig” and annihilate your enemies in an endless hail of bullets.
Graviton Lance
Why this exotic? Bungie said the Graviton Lance could use a new coat of paint, and so the pulse rifle received the same fire mode as the exotic “Revision Zero” and its double-shot fire mode. The damage was adjusted, and the fire rate was therefore increased:
- Fire rate increased from 257 to 300 (delay of fire reduced by 20%. Now just as fast as that of Revision Zero)
- Damage was rebalanced
- Body damage from 9.5 to 19
- Critical damage from 15.7 to 31.4
- Damage was reduced for the first shot:<-- wp:list -->
- Body damage from 35.6 to 25.6.
- Critical damage from 58.7 to 42.3.
In a void warlock build, this pulse rifle could let many enemies explode.
That was my recommendation to you. It will show which options the players will link with new synergies to utilize the best possible advantages.
