Snorlax

With Snorlax, the German name does not reveal which person it is based on. The name is derived from “Relax”. In Japanese, however, this Pokémon is called Kabigon, which was the nickname of a developer at Game Freak.
Koji Nishino worked on the very first generations of Pokémon. He was known in the developer studio as Kirby because he ate so much. The developers transferred his behavior to Snorlax. Players can even challenge Koji Nishino himself: In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, there is a traveler named Nishino, whose Pokémon all carry the item Leftovers, a bitten apple.
Pantifrost

- Name Origin: Pantomime + Frost
With the eighth game generation, Pantimos has received an evolution. Pantifrost additionally has the Ice type and suddenly gets a cane with which it can step dance. It also has a mustache, a black jacket, and a top hat that remind one of a real comedian.
Pantifrost was actually inspired by silent film actor Charlie Chaplin. It possesses all the features that Pantimos has gained with its evolution. Even the behavior that he had to dramatically exaggerate in silent films to create a humorous effect for the audience can be seen in Pantifrost.
Hitmonlee

- Name Origin: Kick + Bruce Lee
Hitmonlee along with Hitmonchan and Hitmontop form the trio of martial arts. Hitmonlee specializes in kickboxing, and its name already suggests that it is inspired by the martial artist Bruce Lee. He was one of the most famous martial artists who became famous through martial arts films.
In the original Japanese, however, Hitmonlee is based on a different athlete. Here, the Pokémon is called Sawamurā and is thus based on the Japanese kickboxer Tadashi Sawamura. The name was presumably changed for the European market since Sawamura is not as well-known here.
