What is WoW Classic? WoW Classic is the re-release of the Vanilla version of World of Warcraft, before there were any expansions at all. For many players, it is the “one true WoW” and thus Blizzard decided to release its own version of the game.
In WoW Classic, you can only level from 1 to 60. The leveling process took significantly longer, you have to read quest texts more, and you often rely on the help of other players.
All these points were important to the Classic fans.
What was special in 2019? On August 27, 2019, WoW Classic was released and attracted a lot of attention from all directions:
- On Twitch, a Classic player secured the title of the most watched streamer in August.
- After the release of Classic, subscription numbers exploded.
- Even the development of other games suffered due to the re-launch of Vanilla WoW.
Overall, WoW Classic created a huge hype and garnered much attention in 2019. It also sparked the discussion about which version of WoW is better.
Where does WoW Classic stand at the end of 2019? WoW Classic is now in Phase 2 and the PvP battlegrounds have been released. The atmosphere is now mixed, as not everything in Classic was better.
Furthermore, the mentality of many players has changed. Instead of meeting for a fun PvP melee at Tarren Mill, there is much ganking. Things are not running optimally in the battlegrounds either.

What is Borderlands 3? Borderlands 3 is the latest installment in the co-op shooter series from Gearbox. The game is characterized by:
- pitch-black humor
- the crazy sci-fi setting
- the insane characters
- and various types of weapons.
The previous games in the series were extremely successful and popular. Borderlands 3 is no different.
What was special in 2019? 2019 saw the release of Borderlands 3. That alone is a highlight, but there was also a major controversy surrounding the shooter.
It was released exclusively on the Epic Store and not on Steam. Not all players appreciated that. Nevertheless, the player numbers for Borderlands 3 on PC are extremely good.
Another surprise is the service offered since the release. Almost every week, there has been an update that made balance changes or resolved issues. Additionally, new endgame content has been introduced.
Where does Borderlands 3 stand at the end of 2019? On December 19, the new Handsome Jack DLC was released, which brought several new features. It will not be the last expansion for Borderlands 3.
Four DLCs have already been confirmed, which can be purchased individually or in a season pass. So there is plenty of new content for the loot shooter in 2020 as well.
