Bless Global
Setting: Fantasy | Developer: Tigon Mobile | Platform: PC, Android, iOS | Release Date: March 1, 2023 | Model: Free2Play
What kind of game is this? Bless Global is a re-release of Bless Online with some adjustments that not everyone likes. The focus is now on smartphones, which is immediately evident in the interface and autoplay. The PC version is only a port of the mobile game.
You have five classes to choose from: Berserker, Mage, Ranger, Crusader, and Priest, which also correspond to those of Bless Unleashed. The original Bless Online also had the Assassin and the Mystic available.
The world of Bless Global also differs slightly from the other Bless titles. However, the taming system that once made Bless Online so interesting is at least partially back. You can win monsters in the open world as mounts.
The basic gameplay consists of completing quests, leveling up, and improving your equipment. In principle, you do not play it yourself as the automatic gameplay takes over almost entirely for the first ten hours. It runs, fights, completes quests, and teleports you around.
Who is it interesting for? Anyone who wants to experience the world of Bless on their smartphone might enjoy Bless Global. After all, there are many things to collect and discover. Overall, however, it is not a good MMORPG, neither for PC nor for smartphone. Better alternatives can be found here:
How is it performing currently? Not so well on PC. According to SteamDB, only 421 players were simultaneously looking at the MMORPG at release. A peak that has not been reached since. Currently, developers can be glad if about 20 Steam users are online in their game simultaneously.
70 percent of the previous 178 reviews are negative. The criticisms include the mobile interface, autoplay, an automatic timer when creating characters, and generally weak graphics. Additionally, many criticize that it is the fourth version of Bless that disappoints.
Additionally, the developers tried to acquire positive reviews using cryptocurrency, which temporarily led to Bless Global being excluded from the Steam search. Conclusion: Better to play something else.
Aion Classic
Setting: Fantasy | Developer: NCSoft | Platform: PC | Release Date: April 25, 2023 | Model: Free2Play
What kind of game is this? Aion Classic is a new version of the MMORPG that is based on the old state of Patch 2.0. You can level up your character to level 55, visit different maps, experience dungeons and PvP, and of course, fly.
However, there are some adjustments, including the new systems Daeva-Pass and Siels Energy. You can learn more about this in this article: MMORPG Aion is focusing on the success of WoW – Now brings Classic servers to Europe.
Who is it interesting for? Aion Classic is particularly exciting for fans of the original Aion experience. Some are disappointed by the development of the current MMORPG and wish for the good old days when there was no autoplay.
If you have not played Aion before but enjoy PvP, you will still be in the right place. In the Abyss, there are large battles for fortresses, and even in the open world, there are often small skirmishes between the two factions Asmodians and Elyos.
If you do not like PvP, you can still check it out, as there are difficult and varied dungeons in PvE.
How is it performing currently? At launch, Gameforge had to open a second server due to long queues forming on the first. The starting areas were overcrowded, which is why the creation of new characters on the first server has now even been temporarily disabled.
A certain basic interest is therefore present. Also positive: The developers are not only handling the well-known updates but are also bringing in new content. With Patch 2.5, a whole series of new dungeons were added to the game. According to Gameforge, the re-release has reached 1,209,087 created characters, 10,302 founded legions, and a total playtime of 5,662 years after one year.
However, there is also criticism regarding Siels Energy, an optional subscription that only unlocks the highest loot and the earnings of in-game currency. Although there is one hour free per day, many feel it is coercive to subscribe – and this, despite a battle pass and a shop.
