The reality stinks: Normally, you read here on MeinMMO the news happening in the games. A patch comes out, there’s a new skin, a developer reveals something about their plans.
Unfortunately, we are bound by reality. We write about the fact that there has been a content drought in Monster Hunter World for the past six months and that players in Black Desert have been waiting for a patch that has already been live in South Korea for 8 months.
No word yet from Blizzard about what could happen with Diablo. Rumor has it they are planning mobile games. Destiny 2 has a bug that annoys everyone, and there’s once again an exploit circulating in Fortnite.
Imagination is so much cooler: “How wonderful would it be to write the news that we would like to read ourselves?” we thought.
That’s why we present to you today 8 news from the games we usually cover, but… these are the news we would love to write.

Fans had to wait six long years for this news, and now it’s finally here. The Diablo series will continue in 2020. Blizzard revealed the first details during Blizzcon 2018.
If the principle “good things come to those who wait” is really true, an absolute blockbuster is on the way. Because Diablo 3 now has six years under its belt: Enough time for Blizzard to create a worthy successor.
As Blizzard announced at their own convention in Anaheim, work on the Diablo 3 successor is already in full swing. Fans will have to be patient until the release, however: It won’t be anything before 2020.
Diablo 4 is said to come with a whole range of improvements compared to its predecessor:
- A real open world with different areas and countless things to discover
- Up to 16 players simultaneously should be able to move in an instance and face bosses that are spread all over the world
- The class system is said to be more sophisticated and offer more customization options than before
- Regular events should keep players entertained long-term
Of course, it’s again against the minions from hell, led by Diablo and his helpers. The isometric view familiar from the older parts remains, but the graphics are significantly improved.
