In Fortnite: Battle Royale, Season 6 has started, and thus the first update of the season is approaching. This update is supposed to fix some annoying bugs. We will show you which bug fixes are planned for update 16.10.
This is what’s happening in Fortnite: A few weeks ago, Season 6 launched a completely new season, bringing some new features, new weapons, and map changes. This includes features like hunting wild animals and crafting primitive weapons.
Now, the “first” update of the season is just around the corner, and according to the Fortnite Trello, several bugs will be fixed. Update 16.10 could bring new content again, but first, we’ll look at the bugs that are supposed to receive a fix.
8 annoying bugs in the game
What bugs are currently in Fortnite? On the Fortnite Trello, various bugs are listed that are currently present in the game and being worked on. These errors are supposed to be fixed with update 16.10:
- Splitscreen “Ready Button” issues
- Double XP notifications for legendary quests in parties – can falsely indicate a level-up
- Anomaly on the Shark Island is not always displayed
- Legacies from Season 5 – Chapter 2 are not displayed
- Visibility is extremely restricted while in the storm
- Opening the inventory cancels actions like opening chests and reviving teammates
- Character quests do not count as progress for general challenges
- Stackable items are not separated when Shift-Dragged
Especially the limited visibility in the storm can be quite annoying and even lead to an elimination. The visibility is currently so restricted that one cannot see the path ahead and sometimes even runs into obstacles while the storm causes damage to the character.
When is Update 16.10 coming?
When should the new patch appear in the game? There is currently no exact date for when update 16.10 will be released. However, a release of the next patch seems not unlikely this week. Larger updates are usually released in a 2-week cycle, and this is now the 2nd week of Season 6. Possible dates could be:
- Tuesday, March 30, 2021
- Wednesday, March 31, 2021
- Thursday, April 1, 2021
However, bear in mind that these dates have not yet been officially confirmed. As soon as Fortnite officially announces update 16.10, we will inform you here on MeinMMO.
These bug fixes may please some players, as the bugs are already annoying in a match. But it is not the only problem that is currently bothering players. There are also discussions about whether the new primitive shotgun needs a nerf. Especially in the competitive scene, some pros complain that the pump gun is too strong. Whether Fortnite will implement a nerf for the weapon, we will likely find out only with update 16.10.
