What is it about? A perfectly normal 37-year-old office worker is stabbed on the open street and then wakes up in typical isekai fashion in a fantasy world. However, he does not find himself as a shining hero, but as a simple blue slime named Rimuru Tempest.
As a blue slime, he has the powerful ability to absorb the powers of everything he consumes. His goal is to build a gigantic nation where monsters and humans can peacefully coexist. After establishing himself as a demon king and making peace with the western holy church, new diplomatic challenges and conflicts arise.
Why is it worth a look? The significant peculiarity of the anime is that not just monsters are smashed. For an isekai, there is surprisingly much politics, economics, city-building, and diplomacy involved. However, you need to be patient with Season 4, as it is supposed to consist of 5 cours. That means you will be dealing with around 60 episodes solely in Season 4, spanning over 2 years.
