What is it about? The story revolves around the twins Yuru and Asa. They live in a peaceful mountain village away from civilization. Yuru spends his days as a hunter, while Asa is mysteriously locked in a cage to fulfill a duty.
The idyllic setting of the village is shattered one day when armed special forces attack the village in modern combat helicopters. Yuru must horrifically realize that the girl in the cage is not his sister, but the leader of the invaders.
To survive the massacre, Yuru must harness the power of the so-called Tsugai. These are powerful supernatural beings that always appear in pairs. He flees from his homeland into the modern world to uncover the dark secret surrounding his family.
Why is it worth a look? The anime comes from the legendary mangaka Hiromu Arakawa, known for the masterpiece Fullmetal Alchemist.
