The fourth season of 7 vs. Wild Season 4 has started and has been ranking first among series on Amazon Prime Video since its release. Here you’ll find everything about the participants, location, and dates of the episodes.
It has been known since January 2024: There will be a 7 vs. Wild Season 4. The people behind the production company Calivision confirmed this in an interview. For the wider audience, format founder Fritz Meinecke provided final confirmation for the new season on May 31.

The new season is running two weeks ahead on Amazon Prime. Freevee is now integrated there. This year, viewers from Switzerland will also be able to watch the season on Amazon Prime.

Fritz Meinecke is not an official contestant of the show this year, but the group’s challenger. He provides the participants with hints on the locations of previously placed crates that contain important equipment.
The fourth season was filmed in New Zealand
In a new video about the series, Fritz Meinecke announced where it will take place this year. The new season will be held in New Zealand. This time, the season will not be filmed by the sea or a lake; instead, the participants will be dropped in a valley through which a river flows. Geographically, the participants can expect various areas such as plains, hills, and wooded areas.
The new season will be filmed on private property. This means that the participants are allowed to make fires, hunt, and there are no restrictions on cutting down trees this time.
These changes exist in the fourth season
The new season of 7 vs. Wild runs under the motto “Crashed”. The 7 participants received little information about the changes this year before the start of the series, as contestant Joe Vogel revealed. Upon arrival in New Zealand, the drop-off went quite quickly, reflecting the scenario of a plane crash.
This time, the participants will be dropped as a group at a plane wreck and can stay together throughout the season if they wish. The items were selected by the organization and placed in the plane.
However, the participants were allowed to choose their own clothing. The organization provided recommendations and information about the temperatures. The season was filmed at the end of autumn, and it has now been revealed that it also snowed during this year’s season and there were times when temperatures were below zero.
What do the contestants need to consider this year?
This year’s focus is more on survival and less on just passing the time, as the participants could do in seasons 2 and 3 due to favorable climatic conditions. Building a shelter that ensures survival will likely become more important this year. As in season 3, the series will again be filmed for 14 days this year.
What items the participants ultimately receive is still uncertain. Last year, the preparation centered around the bottle, into which everything needed to be packed.
