On June 13, Meinecke announced the 2nd season. This will feature new participants, a changed set of rules, and a completely different location.

7 vs. Wild: Season 2 – It goes to the tropics
When does the second season of 7 vs. Wild start? Filming is scheduled to take place from August to September 2022. The airing is supposed to happen as in the previous year in November and December 2022.
Where can I watch it? The second season will be broadcast just like the first on Fritz Meinecke’s YouTube channel.
Which participants have confirmed? Besides the organizer Fritz Meinecke, 5 other major YouTubers or Twitch streamers are involved. Slot number 7 goes to a viewer via a wildcard:
- Creator and last year’s winner Fritz Meinecke is the only one participating again
- Jens “Knossi” Knossala, who already discussed his participation with his 3-year-old son
- Twitch streamer Antonia “starletnova” can benefit from her scouting experience
- YouTuber Sabrina “Sabrina Outdoor” Camlott prefers to be outdoors anyway
- Sascha Huber is primarily active on YouTube with fitness and nutrition topics
- Otto “Bulletproofentrepreneur” Karasch, who has previously completed projects with Meinecke
- The wildcard winner Joris impressed with his application video and jungle experience, but he is rather a newcomer in the survival genre.
What changes with the rules? For season 2, Meinecke came up with a balancing system: Participants were asked to provide a self-assessment of their survival skills. Based on these assessments, Meinecke and his team created a tier list. The higher the position, the fewer items are allowed.
As a “novice,” Knossi is the only one allowed to take all 7 items. For the others, the number will be reduced according to their survival experience. Meinecke himself and Otto Karasch will even have to make do with just one item.
Meinecke justifies the decision by saying that the show would otherwise be unfair due to the different survival experiences of the participants. Season 1 was different in this regard.
Furthermore, some challenging conditions will be eliminated due to the new setting. For example, there will be little concern about staying warm. Additionally, many items that wash up on the beach can be found as debris.
Where does season 2 of 7 vs. Wild take place? While the first season took place in the Swedish wilderness, this time the participants can look forward to a tropical island.
Back then, the cold was one of the biggest challenges; this time, some participants may struggle with a lack of drinking water or dangerous animals.
Where exactly the island is located will not be disclosed in advance for safety reasons. However, Meinecke recently stayed on such a tropical island and also answered fans’ questions there. However, this is a paradise compared to the actual location.
This is the concept: Seven participants will be abandoned in the wilderness and are expected to fend for themselves entirely. They have access to up to seven items that they could choose from various categories in advance.
Additionally, certain clothing items are allowed. All participants receive an emergency phone, but using it will lead to immediate disqualification from the show. Once a day, they must signal that everything is fine with a dead man’s switch.
The participants can push further inland as far as they want. The one who holds out the longest wins. Should multiple survivors remain at the end of the show, points will decide.
These points can be earned in daily challenges. Using the sealed first-aid kit, on the other hand, results in point deductions. The winner can look forward to a prize of 10,000, which will be donated to a charity.
