Madara Uchiha, along with his childhood friend Hashirama Senju, founded the village of Konoha. Both aimed to bring peace to the world. However, the two could not agree on how to achieve that – and became rivals.
Madara wants to execute a master plan in which the Infinite Tsukuyomi is to be used. The entire world is to be trapped in a genjutsu, an illusion. In doing so, Madara prevents humanity from destroying each other. At the same time, he robs people of their free will and forces them to live in an endless dream.
However, Madara’s good intentions are exploited: The chakra of people is to be used for the resurrection of Kaguya Otsutsuki and the creation of a gigantic army. Fortunately, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura manage to thwart the plan. Unfortunately, Madara dies as a consequence.
