In 2024, Pokémon TCG Pocket was released as a new mobile game. The familiar card game concept has been modernized and shortened for mobile. Despite the platform and the Free2Play concept, the game impresses mainly through its charming animations and card designs. Thanks to many events and solo duels, you are not pressured to spend money.
The shortened format is perfect for on-the-go, especially if you want to have a quick duel on the train or bus.
If you prefer to play by the classic rules, you can find the Pokémon Trading Card Game for Game Boy Color under the Gameboy games in the Nintendo Switch Online
subscription. Although it looks a bit old-fashioned, the title is great for learning the rules and it works quite well as a game for a quick session.
