In the world of The Boys, superheroes are regarded as celebrities. This goes to some heads and they begin to abuse their status and power.
The series thrives on its humor, which is sometimes quite wicked. There are also spikes of violence that are not for the faint-hearted. These elements can also be found in Fallout. In both the games and the series, you often don’t know whether to laugh or scream in horror.
The Boys premiered in 2019 and has had 24 episodes in three seasons so far, with the fourth set to be released this June.

In the cult series Twin Peaks (1990-91) by David Lynch, he is seen in the lead role. As FBI agent Dale Cooper, he must solve a murder case in an American small town. There are plenty of quirky characters, embedded in a story that tells of violence, nightmares, but also love and friendship. A bit like in Fallout.
What the two series also have in common: a slightly satirical portrayal of the petty-bourgeois American society that always lives a bit too much in the past.
