The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online was released on April 4, 2014. Since then, a lot has happened and some things have changed. Even after 7 years, it still attracts new players and manages to retain old ones as well. But what do you do every day in Tamriel? MeinMMO author MiezeMelli tells you why she plays ESO every day.
1. Daily Crafting Quests
The daily quests for crafting are done quickly and are the easiest method to earn gold and materials. If time allows, I complete the crafting dailies with my 18 characters. That’s at least 5,100 gold per character (with the right champion points).
If you calculate this out, that’s 18 x 5,100 gold = 91,800 gold. Within not even 11 days, you can earn (91,800 x 11) 1,009,800 gold. So becoming a millionaire in ESO is not that difficult.
2. Daily Random Dungeon
This is also done quickly and brings a random dungeon every day. This is particularly good when you don’t know which dungeon you want to run. The random finder makes this decision for you. If you have ESO+, you also have access to the DLC dungeons.
Prior to it, you can choose whether you want to run the random dungeon on Normal or Veteran mode. However, for some dungeons in Veteran mode, I would recommend having a dedicated and not random group. This is because organized teamwork can be important for these dungeons.
Here you have an overview of the dungeons and their assessment regarding difficulty.
A detailed description (including mechanics) of the new dungeons from the DLC Waking Flame can be found in this article:
We have played the dungeons in the new update Waking Flame – this is how hard they are
And now for the reward: Every 20 hours, you receive 101,047 bonus experience points upon completing a random dungeon. Additionally, you earn about 2,000 – 3,000 gold with the loot and can fill your sticker book with the set pieces you receive in the dungeon. The community refers to the sticker book as the set collection, which you can access by default with “U”.
3. The Daily Changing Dungeon Quests of the Undaunted
If you have more of a desire for dungeons, it is definitely worth visiting the Undaunted Enclave. This can be found in the 3 main cities:
- Ebonheart Pact: Gramfeste (Deshaan)
- Aldmeri Dominion: Eldenroot (Grahtwood)
- Daggerfall Covenant: Wayrest (Stormhaven)
To be able to accept the quests, you must have reached at least level 45. For Veteran mode, you need at least level 50.
There are the following 3 quest givers:
- Maj al-Ragath → all dungeons of the first 2 zones*
- Glirion the Redbeard → all dungeons of the last 3 zones*
- Urgarlag Chief Bane → all DLC dungeons
You can also enter the dungeons through the “Group & Activity Finder” menu. This time, however, you need to choose the “Specific Dungeons” option in the dungeon finder at the top right. Now you can click on the desired dungeon (or several) and will be placed in the queue.
4. Two Active Trading Guilds
In order to afford all the housing and especially my excessive shopping sprees at the luxury vendor on weekends, I engage in intensive trading in ESO. I have been part of the following trading guilds for some time:
- Nirn Traders (Gramfeste in Deshaan)
- Orc Mania
If you are curious, you are welcome to join my monthly auction event from Orc Mania. More information can be found on my Discord.
5. Housing and the Luxury Vendor
Housing is really a nice pastime in between. There are now really beautiful items that look good in your own home. And as I mentioned before, I stock up well with items from the luxury vendor.
You can find the luxury vendor in the empty city in the Kalthafen area every weekend.
6. My Raid Groups
My 4 different raid groups of course have their fixed times when I log into Tamriel. In fact, I only have Wednesdays free from raids. After the raid, we often do dungeons or event quests with other members.
Currently, I raid in the following raid groups:
- Spitfire (as DD, currently Magblade) in Wings for Victory: vRGq
- Collateral Damage (raid leader and DD, currently Magblade) in Wings for Victory: vSS
- Wipe and Reset (as DD, currently Magblade): vHoF
- Dummbatz and his Dummbälle (raid leader and tank) in The Magical Miezmuschel: vHRC
7. The Community
Finally, it is always the community that brings me into the game every day. Because even if I sometimes don’t feel like playing ESO, I always log in because of the people. Then everyone chats late after a long workday on the guild TS or the guild Discord.
With the people from the ESO community, you can fill many funny memories. In this article, you get insight into the funny ideas people come up with from time to time:

8. My Personal Reason: Streaming on Twitch
I am currently only streaming ESO on Twitch. Of course, I am also logged into ESO at the same time. I often stream guild or community events, but I also appear on Twitch during larger streaming events from Bethesda.
You can also always follow the Orc Mania auction on Twitch. You are, of course, welcome to my Twitch channel anytime outside of the event!
9. My Personal Reason: My Work at MeinMMO
Additionally, I am also frequently logged into ESO due to my work at MeinMMO. Whether it’s for research or taking screenshots. This allows me to dive deeper into the game than before.
