5. Medieval Dynasty

What is Medieval Dynasty? Medieval Dynasty is set in the Middle Ages, and you start as a simple young hunter and farmer. Your task is to gain experience and build your own home.
From a small hut, it slowly turns into a yard, then a village where you must invite more and more people – and eventually, you should also marry and have heirs to secure your bloodline.
Key features include hunting, building, and farming. You need all of this to start and grow your village. Only by keeping your people happy and fed can your dynasty be secured.
How peaceful is Medieval Dynasty? Interacting with other NPCs is usually peaceful and friendly. You must court your future partner and try to persuade them to marry you if you want to have heirs.
Otherwise, hunting is one way to provide yourself with food, but it is not the only one. Farming becomes more and more important later on, and past a certain size, even necessary. While you cannot completely avoid dealing with bows and other weapons, you can greatly limit it.
How hard is survival? Various needs like nutrition must be met, but food is found almost everywhere. It gets difficult only when you have to manage an entire village and feed many people.
Especially the seasons have to be taken into account. For winter, you need a supply, and if it is not large enough, it can quickly become dangerous. In general, however, the survival aspect is rather less pronounced.
6. No Man’s Sky

What is No Man’s Sky? In No Man’s Sky, you explore a vast world with countless planets that you can enter and explore. The space adventure lets you steer and upgrade your own ship to sail through the vastness of space. With the Origins update, the world got even bigger.
You will encounter alien life forms and need to gather resources to research upgrades and build new equipment. No Man’s Sky primarily addresses the “building and exploring” aspect of the survival genre.
How peaceful is No Man’s Sky? Your main task is exploring alien planets and the vastness of space. You are primarily explorers and not fighters, so you rarely resort to weapons.
Contact with alien life forms can be dangerous, but No Man’s Sky also leans more toward peaceful interaction and coexistence. PvP is generally possible but doesn’t play a role in most modes.
However, you may occasionally encounter space pirates who want to rob you. Here you can either find peaceful ways out with a bit of luck or you may sometimes have to rely on combat.
How hard is survival? Since No Man’s Sky mainly focuses on exploration and crafting, survival is only a secondary aspect. You primarily need to adapt to the conditions of a new planet, such as its temperature and atmosphere. This requires various equipment and space suits.
To reach certain milestones and progress, you also have to explore the dangerous parts of the universe – but then you are already experienced space explorers.
7. Fallout 76

What is Fallout 76? After a nuclear war between the USA and China has devastated the world within hours, you are now tasked with rebuilding America years later.
You are one of the “vault dwellers”: people who took refuge in protective bunkers to survive the atomic radiation. As such, you now roam West Virginia, helping to resurrect the world from the ruins.
In Fallout 76, you support numerous NPC factions in their endeavors, explore a vast world, and build your own bases, known as C.A.M.P.s. Quests and small stories are hidden everywhere for you to discover.
How peaceful is Fallout 76? Of all the games listed here, Fallout 76 relies the most on combat and shooting. Weapons of various kinds and literally military power suits are among the main features of the series, and thus also of Fallout 76.
While you rarely fight against other players, and when you do, only under special circumstances, you continually have to defend yourself against wild monsters and mutants. The post-apocalypse is not a peaceful place, after all.
However, interaction with other players is usually very friendly. Other players can sell you useful items through shops, and in public events, you help each other. The community is generally considered one of the best in gaming overall, and newcomers will quickly encounter helpful veterans.
How hard is survival? The survival factors in Fallout 76 are hunger, thirst, and radiation. Water and food can be irradiated, so you must be careful what and how much you consume.
In general, though, there are enough resources to secure your survival. You can even utilize radiation. With the right equipment, you will become stronger the more irradiated you are.
