What kind of game is this? Odin: Valhalla Rising takes place in a world of Norse mythology. Famous figures like Odin or Thor are supposed to appear, as well as the continents Midgard, Jötunheim, Nidavellir, and Alfheim.
- You will explore an open game world without loading screens, where plenty of adventures await you
- You have four classes to choose from: Warrior, Rogue, Priest, and Sorceress
- There is a Holy Trinity of Tank, DD, and Healer
- You should be able to climb, ride, swim, and fly on dragons in the world
- In the endgame, you will encounter dungeons and PvP battles

For whom is it interesting? Odin: Valhalla Rising primarily targets fans of mobile MMORPGs. This is evident in the UI and auto-play features. However, it makes a good graphical impression. If you are looking for a pretty MMORPG on your smartphone that can handle annoying content on its own, you should keep an eye on this game from Korea.
How likely is the release in 2022? 50%. Odin was already released in Korea in 2021 and was a huge success. In the first two days, it reportedly made over 11 million euros in revenue. The release in the west is planned for 2022, to be carried out by Kakao Games (Elyon, ArcheAge). Currently, all that is lacking is a larger marketing campaign for the west.
Honorable Mention: Corepunk
What is Corepunk all about? Corepunk is an MMORPG that sounds like a mix of LoL and WoW. The graphics use a colorful isometric perspective with few abilities, reminiscent of League of Legends. On the other hand, there are dungeons, raids, arena PvP, and mounts from a certain level, which remind of WoW.
The release of Corepunk was also planned for 2022, but many employees of the studio are located in Ukraine. A planned test has already been postponed due to the war, and the release is likely to be difficult in 2022 as well. Therefore, we will leave this game aside.
