In Pokémon GO there are some interesting monsters in the coming days. We will show you which ones.
The “Phantom Ruins” event starts on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Pokémon GO. It runs until Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 8:00 PM. The Phantom Ruins represent the finale of the 3 June events, each introducing a new Gigantamax monster to Pokémon GO.
The last of these 3 Gigantamax monsters, which you can hunt from June 14, 2025, at 6:00 AM until June 15, 2025, at 9:00 PM, is Inteleon. But even besides this monster, the event offers several interesting monsters that could appeal to both fighters and collectors among you.
Something for Everyone
Monsters with more Stardust: If you catch a monster in Pokémon GO, you normally receive 100 Stardust. However, there are some exceptions. These give you more Stardust for each catch than the usual 100. 2 of these exceptions can be found in the event.
These are Shuppet and Palimptil. Both monsters can be found with some luck in the wild and through the use of incense. If you see these two Pokémon, you should definitely catch them.
Every Shuppet you catch gives you a whopping 750 Stardust. For Palimptil, it’s even 1,000 Stardust per catch. If you use a Star Piece, you can further increase the amount by 50%, thus receiving a total of 1,125 Stardust for Shuppet and 1,500 for Palimptil.
Monsters for Collectors: During the event, the chance to encounter a shiny Marill or Paragon is increased. Thus, the event can also serve as motivation for the collectors among you to obtain one or the other shiny.
There are a total of 3 ways to encounter the two monsters: in the wild, through incense, and as rewards for completing field research.
Strong Monsters for Raids: If you often participate in raids and battle, the event offers you 2 strong monsters that you can farm and hunt for both a good specimen and some candies.
These are Rhyhorn and Rotomurf, whose final evolutions, Rhyperior and Excadrill, are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. Both monsters can be played as ground attackers. Rhyperior can additionally be found at the top of rock attackers, while Excadrill can also be played as a steel attacker.
Both monsters are even stronger in their shadow variants. If you have these, you can use the event for some candies. If you don’t, then the regular variants can make strong additions to your team. You will find both Pokémon in the wild during the event.
Strong Monsters for the Battle League: Also for Battle League enthusiasts, the event brings a Pokémon that you should take a closer look at: Shuppet. You can find this monster in the wild during the event. It can initially evolve into Banette and then into Mega Banette.
Banette is currently in the top 10 of the Super League meta when played with Curse, Ice Punch, and Dark Pulse. Mega Banette can shine in the Ultra League, where it is also currently among the top 10 strongest monsters. For this, you will need the moveset Astonish, Shadow Ball, and Dark Pulse.
