H1Z1 Just Survive – The Unloved Stepchild of King of the Kill
The original H1Z1, now known as “H1Z1 Just Survive,” was the big new survival hope in January 2015 and had its first major success on Steam. Survival RPG horror with zombies, combined with Minecraft elements—what could go wrong? But then came the downfall in the form of horrible bugs and countless cheaters. New updates also took a long time to arrive, and player numbers rapidly declined.
Later, the developers at Daybreak wanted to revamp the game, focusing more on shooter gameplay and battle royale conflicts. However, these changes were not to the liking of survival fans, and the game was split into two titles in February 2016: the survival original H1Z1 Just Survive and the battle-royale PvP shooter King of the Kill.
King of the Kill is a massive success, averaging over 60,000 players, while Just Survive limps along with a meager 3,000 gamers.
H1Z1 Just Survive – How Long Will It “Live”?
Contrary to claims from Daybreak, not much is happening with Just Survive. One gets the impression that the zombie survival game is a troublesome stepchild that is only begrudgingly “fed.” It is possible that it could eventually be “allowed to starve” completely.
