Earthland Realms – Worst PvP Balance of All Time
More well-known than Kim Possible’s Everlot is probably the episode of The Simpsons, in which half of Springfield plays the MMORPG “Earthland Realms” and Marge and Bart play key roles with their avatars. It is the 17th episode of the 18th season and is titled “Marge Online”. Earthland Realms is closely related to well-known MMORPGs – especially WoW.
There are also terribly poorly balanced PvP battles and a Hello Kitty expansion pack that does not quite fit into the medieval setting. The game doesn’t seem to be particularly playable either. However, for an MMO adaptation in a cartoon series episode, it is certainly sufficient!
Earthland Realms gives players some freedom and is playable not only in the USA but also at least in Denmark. Most characters that appear in the game are well-known residents of Springfield. It costs $14.95 per month and evidently excites young and old!

The Details
- Genre: Fantasy MMORPG
- Graphics: Real. In a fictitious way. Corresponds nearly 1:1 to the Simpsons’ internal reality!
- Fun Factor: There is a “World of Warcraft” feel, although it could be extremely frustrating due to overpowered avatars in PvP.
- Realization Factor: Since World of Warcraft already exists, on which the game is based, and WoW also looks significantly better, I would say: Yes, it could be realized.
