Although it is a children’s series, the series surrounding the agent “Kim Possible” is well received by many teenagers and young adults thanks to its parodistic elements. Among typical agent clichés, it also takes aim at MMOs in the 10th episode “Vir-Tu-Ron” of the 2nd season!
To impress his girlfriend, Ron sneaks into the popular MMO “Everlot”, which is described as extraordinarily complicated and difficult. And that’s no surprise, as Everlot not only features deadly traps – in the starting area – but also a dubious quest system that has clearly drawn from adventures.

To make matters worse, an “immersion cap” abused by the villains ensures that one is pulled from reality into the game. It is particularly unfortunate that the mobs have their own consciousness and thus are extremely deadly …
The Details
- Genre: Fantasy MMORPG, VR
- Graphics: Blocky, but close to cartoon reality!
- Fun Factor: Overall, it seems quite fun. You have incredible freedom of choice and can do almost anything you want. From a game mechanic perspective, that’s not necessarily plausible, but hey, one should be able to design unrealistic fictitious games!
- Realization Factor: Rather low. Quest system, balancing, and monster AI are simply not good!
