How do the sieges work? Sieges in ArcheAge utilize a special system where scrolls are important.
- You activate the watchtower in the area you wish to claim
- Now you must quickly build a castle around the tower, as it is otherwise unprotected and can be attacked directly
- Every three weeks, your castle is up for siege
- Other guilds bid in the auction house for the right to purchase the siege scroll
- The guild that acquires the scroll is allowed to attack you
- If the attackers succeed in destroying the watchtower within a certain timeframe, the guild wins the siege
What makes the sieges of ArcheAge so interesting? Control of an area is important in ArcheAge due to taxes. Therefore, it is necessary to hold a castle for a long time and defend it well. As powerful guilds usually acquire the scrolls, often only the best fight against each other.
