Final Fantasy XIV – Release of Endwalker
What kind of game is this? Final Fantasy XIV has developed into one of the most popular MMORPGs in recent years. The significant overhaul of the game in 2013 brought much change, and with regular content updates and expansions like Shadowbringers, many contents await players.
The MMORPG is reminiscent of classic Japanese RPGs, with a strong focus on story. At the endgame, many tricky dungeons and raids await you.
In the combat system, FFXIV relies on tab-targeting, as you may know it from WoW.
What happens in November? On November 23, the new expansion Endwalker will be released. It will bring new story content, areas, new jobs, and many new challenges for players.
For fans of the MMORPG, the expansion is a must, but even non-players should keep it in mind. If you want to try Final Fantasy XIV, you can play the base game for free since August 2020.
Lost Ark – Beta
What kind of game is this? Lost Ark is a Free2Play MMORPG from Korea, played from an isometric perspective. The focus is on slicing through hordes of monsters and looting new equipment, somewhat like in Diablo.
However, the game includes many classic MMO features such as guilds, dungeons, and raids, as well as PvP content.
The game went online in Korea in 2018, while the full release is only planned for 2022 in our region.
What happens in November? In November, the first closed beta of Lost Ark will start. Players can participate if they purchased a pre-order package or were randomly selected by Amazon.
In the beta, there will be a new prologue and a new class to see. We will also take a first look at the shop of the western version.
For fans who have been waiting for the release of Lost Ark for years, the beta event in November will be a real highlight.
Guild Wars 2 – Beta for Elite Specializations
What kind of game is this? Guild Wars 2 is a theme park MMORPG from American developer ArenaNet, released in 2012. It impresses primarily with a dynamic game world that is constantly expanded with new updates or expansions.
A highlight of the game is also its combat system, which represents an interesting mix of action and tab-targeting. Thanks to the dodge roll and downstate, the fights feel very dynamic.
In the open world, it offers a combo of heart tasks (quests at fixed locations), story missions, and dynamic events, while there are instanced dungeons, raids, and some PvP content. In PvP, particularly, all players wear the same equipment, allowing personal skill to play a significant role.
What happens in November? At the end of the month, you can try all 9 elite specializations, which will be introduced with the End of Dragons expansion in February 2022.
For this, you will receive 3 new character slots to create the suitable classes. With them, you will explore the existing world and can also join groups. At the end of the beta event, the characters and their progress will be deleted.
