Outlook: What else is happening in August 2021
August still holds further highlights, which we summarize for you in this outlook. They include either beta events, smaller updates, or releases that will only take place towards the end of the month.
Destiny 2 – Season 15
What kind of game is this? Destiny 2 is a loot shooter from Bungie that you can play on consoles, Stadia, and through Steam. You take on the role of a particularly powerful hero, a “Guardian,” who is to protect the world from all kinds of dangers.
You have the choice of three classes and play through the story, complete raids and strikes, or battle other Guardians in PvP. Along the way, you gear up with various specializations and items.
What happens in August? On August 24, the new Season 15 begins in Destiny 2. So far, we know little about the new chapter, but the update will definitely be worth it for veterans. More information about the new season and the upcoming expansion will be provided on August 24 in a showcase.

Elyon – Closed Beta 2
What kind of game is this? Elyon will be a theme park MMORPG focused on PvP. At launch, you will have the choice of 6 different classes that can quest in an open world and experience a story. As you play, you will unlock various dungeons, housing, and PvP content.
A highlight is the skill system that allows you to customize every ability to your playstyle. Additionally, Elyon promises exciting, action-packed fights, many leaderboards, and large realm vs. realm battles in PvP.
What happens in August? From August 18 to August 23, Elyon will hold its second closed beta. Anyone who has pre-ordered the MMORPG can participate, or you might receive a key by luck. The release is planned for the end of September.
