What is this game? Destiny 2 is a loot shooter developed by Bungie, which you can now also play via Steam. You take on the role of a powerful hero (“Guardian”) who is meant to protect the world from various dangers.
You have a choice of 3 classes and play through the story, complete raids and strikes, or battle with other Guardians in PvP. You equip yourself with various specializations and items.

Destiny 2 offers various contents that you can experience in a group as well as alone. The highlights are:

Why you should play Destiny 2 in December
On November 10, the new “Beyond Light” expansion was released along with the Destiny highlight of the year. This introduced a brand new area – the Jupiter moon Europa. There, you will encounter ice deserts, enemies from ancient times, a new raid, or the new element Stasis, which unlocks new subclasses for you.
But even in December, there are still some highlights:
- On December 8, the first Iron Banner of the new Season 12 started, from which new items can be earned
- Also on December 8, the Next-Gen optimized version of Destiny 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S was released
- Still in December, the Trials of Osiris are finally set to start with special weapons and mods as rewards. They were initially supposed to start with Beyond Light but were delayed due to problems
- Additionally, the winter event “The Dawning” will take place again
