CES 2021 has ended, but many exciting new products were presented for gamers. MeinMMO presents you the most exciting of them. Among them is a cool PC case, a fast router, and an interesting monitor.
Every year, exciting products are presented at CES. On January 15, 2021, the fair ended, and an overwhelming number of products were showcased. But which ones are particularly exciting for gamers? We present you a selection of products that are especially interesting for gamers.
PC Case: The Tower 100 Mini Chassis by Thermaltake
What is it? Manufacturer Thermaltake, known primarily for PC cases and power supplies, introduced the “The Tower 100 Mini Chassis” at CES 2021, a case that is particularly interesting for fans of small gaming PCs. It is a Mini-ITX case.
The case not only looks stylish and is of high quality, but it also gives you the chance to show off at home: The case provides a view of your gaming setup from all sides, so everyone can see how many sparkling RGB components you have installed.
Price and Release Date: The Tower 100 Mini Chassis is expected to be available in stores by the end of January. The price according to the official website: €99.90
Gaming Lamp: Yeelight Smart LED with Gaming Support
What is it? Yeelight introduced a smart lamp for gamers at CES 2021. This is mounted above the screen.
The special thing is that the lamps also work with Razer Chroma and Overwolf. These are two software suites with which you can synchronize the lighting to your games or specific effects.
Are you about to die in CoD Warzone? Your lamp wants to join in and shows you that with a dangerously red glow. If you don’t want your lamp to join your gaming session, you can turn it off or configure it with the appropriate Yeelight app.
Price and Release Date: ComputerBase asked Yeelight when the gaming lamp will be available. According to Yeelight, the lamp will cost €109.99 in Germany and should be available no earlier than April 2021.
WiFi 6e Router
Wifi 6E was one of the major topics at this year’s CES, alongside gaming laptops. Wifi 6E offers completely new bandwidth, as it operates on 6 GHz, which is faster than both 5 GHz and the older 2.4 GHz.
What is it? One of the routers presented is the Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500. This router initially looks more like a transport spaceship of the Empire. Unlike the Empire, the router (hopefully) has only the best intentions to provide you with the fastest available WiFi.
I’ve listed several reasons why investing in a gaming router is worth it for me. In the comments to the post, there was heated discussion about how to assess a gaming router. Some noted when buying a gaming router that they could spend less for the same technology, but would have to do without the “gaming” label.
Price and Release Date: When it comes to the price, you may be less pleased. Netgear charges $599 for their device, which is expected to be released sometime in spring 2021.
Mid-range Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 3060
What is it? For many gamers, it’s probably one of the most important and perhaps unsurprising announcements of CES 2021. Nvidia introduced the RTX 3060, the smallest RTX 3000 series graphics card, which is positioned below the RTX 3060 Ti.
Price and Release Date: The card is expected to be available starting from late February, with an official price of $319. However, whether the card will really be available for everyone at that price is another question. The RTX 3080 was completely sold out shortly after launch.
Gaming Monitor ViewSonic Elite XG321UG
What is it? With the Elite XG321UG, ViewSonic has introduced a gaming monitor that gamers should keep an eye on. This is the first 32-inch monitor to offer UHD resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The use of Mini-LEDs in this area is still a rarity.
Price and Release Date: Aside from the hard facts, there was little else to see about the monitor: ViewSonic did not show any official images or provide a price. However, the Elite XG321UG is expected to hit the market in summer 2021.

“Project Brooklyn”: Gaming Chair by Razer
What is it? Razer presented a cool chair aimed at gamers at CES 2021 that offers a high level of immersion.
The gaming chair features a 60-inch rollout display with panoramic view, and thanks to Razer’s HyperSense technology, the chair reacts to certain actions: Imagine driving your vehicle across the battlefield, and a weapon explodes next to you, and you feel that shock through the chair. This strong feeling of being in the middle could become exciting for many players.
Our MeinMMO readers have so far found little to admire in the design. For example, one reader writes “Voice from the Off”:
Looks too uncomfortable.
Other readers also find the chair uninteresting because important things like a toilet or a refrigerator are missing.
Price and Release Date: So far, we know neither the price nor the release date. However, since this is still a concept, it may well be that the gaming chair will never be made available for purchase.
Gaming Laptop with External GPU: Asus ROG Flow X13
What is it? The Asus ROG Flow X13 is a particularly small gaming laptop, coming in at just a 13.4-inch resolution.
As a buyer, you can choose between a Full HD display with 120 Hz or a 4K display with 60 Hz for the Flow X13.
The laptop itself is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 in its best configuration. This is enough for high detail in most gaming titles.
Included is a portable external graphics card that is very slim. You can see it in the gallery. And it really looks cool to be able to set up your small setup everywhere and game at high performance and high refresh rate. The external graphics card makes this possible.
The laptop has its own eGPU port, allowing you to connect the external graphics card directly to the laptop. This significantly increases the bandwidth compared to a Thunderbolt connection.
What does the device weigh? The Asus ROG Flow X13 is said to weigh 1.3 kg. The external graphics card (ROG XG Mobile eGPU) is supposed to weigh 1 kg.
Price and Release Date: The ROG Flow X13 is expected to be available starting in February 2021 and cost from €1500.
