The field research for May in Pokémon GO is active and some quests are real highlights. We summarize the best tasks for you.
What are these quests? The quests presented here include rare Shinies that you rarely get outside of events.
In addition to the seven quests we present to you, there are numerous other tasks that you can solve. Many of them also include Shinies. However, these are not as rare overall as the Pokémon we are about to show you.
These 7 quests are highlights in May
Win 5 gym battles: This quest rewards you with a Sleima. Outside of an event, Sleima is quite rare, making it worthwhile to complete this quest.
Make 5 great throws: This field research probably offers the best reward. From this, you get Kleinstein, a Pokémon that is hardly found anymore. In the wild, you mostly encounter Alola-Kleinstein, which is why regular Kleinstein is among the rarest Shinies in the game.
The quest is also easy to solve. But be careful, you can also receive Voltobal as a reward.
Evolve 1 Pokémon: From this quest, you will receive Taubsi as a reward, among others. This Pokémon was only available in a very short event, making it quite rare.
The task is also easy to complete. In addition to Taubsi, you can also get Evoli from the quest. So Taubsi is not guaranteed.
Catch 5 Water-type Pokémon: From this field research, you will receive the latest Shiny in the game: Jurob. Although you have to search for water-type Pokémon for a while, the reward is all the better.
Catch 7 Pokémon of Water, Grass, or Fire type: Here you will receive Fukano. This Pokémon has already been available from quests in recent months, and this task was one of the most popular field researches in the game.
Now you must catch Pokémon of different types. This is doable and rewards you with a possible Shiny.
Trade a Pokémon: In recent months, you could get Voltenso here, making this quest rarely done. However, now you will receive Driftlon from the research. The ghost-type Pokémon is very rare outside of events, making this quest worthwhile.
Send 3 Pokémon: This quest lands here in the list because it is probably the easiest to solve. You can always send 3 Pokémon and at least you will receive a Shuppet here. The ghost-type Pokémon is not very rare in the game, but can be Shiny. So the quest is worth it.
