Infinity Ward, the studio behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, aims to be as transparent as possible with fans. The developers have released information so that players can understand which issues the studio is currently addressing.
Whenever a game like Call of Duty is released, it always means a lot of stress for the developers. As anyone can imagine, such a release is quite complicated. It’s no wonder that there are a lot of issues to fix with the release of CoD MW2.
The team at Infinity Ward has already managed to fix many of these bugs, but new problems keep arising. You can check the current status on Infinity Ward’s Trello board.
Recently, there was a problem with the Gunsmith. The attachment tuning has been disabled – one of the main features is currently unavailable. We will show you which issues the developers are tackling next.

The following issues are already known to the developers
The issues listed here are already known to the developers, and many of them have been fixed. However, Infinity Ward continues to actively work on a solution for the remaining bugs. If you are affected by one of these problems, the chances are good that it will be fixed soon.
The following general issues are currently being addressed:
- For some players, the game may crash when they are in a group
- Some players report issues with the progression system for weapon camos – the developers are currently trying to identify the problem
These bugs have already been fixed:
- Some PS4 players may experience audio issues in the game
- There is a bug that prevents players from accessing the menu during a match
- Some players do not have access to the Oni operator or items from the Vault edition, even though they have purchased them. The developers advise players to restore their licenses. The option can be found in the menu under Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses
The following issues in multiplayer are currently being worked on:
- The ping system is currently disabled – the developers are already working on a solution
- There is a visual bug on the map “Sarif Bay” – grass textures are affected
- Xbox users are affected by a bug that makes their player icon disappear when they are revived in a match
- The sound of suppressed weapons is not being played back correctly
- In the “Ground War” mode on the map “Santa Seña,” there is a faulty spawn of a vehicle. The “APC unit” can appear in a location where it cannot be controlled or moved
However, there are still some bugs that players have reported here on MeinMMO. The splitscreen features are not running smoothly, and the issues with Nvidia drivers are not mentioned – even though MW2 is not to blame for the broken drivers.
