What is the anime about? Kazuma Satou is an ordinary student who dies in a tragic way. A goddess named Aqua takes pity on him and gives him the choice of going to heaven or being reincarnated in another world.
There, he must defeat the demon king who terrorizes the villages. He is allowed to choose one item for the adventure – and chooses the goddess Aqua herself.
Why should the hero have been dead? Even for Isekai standards, Kazuma dies one of the most ridiculous deaths. He wasn’t even run over by a tractor. Instead, he died from shock when he thought the tractor had run him over.
Kono Suba is representative of every Isekai that exists. Because the premise is that the protagonist dies and is reincarnated in another world. Such animes should actually end after Episode 1 – unless the afterlife truly expects us with a whole new world full of busty tanks and explosive female mages!
