This is now shown by a player: The reddit user ApeWatcher shared a picture of his 65-year-old father, showing him playing his favorite game RDR 2.
The player says that his father plays the story mode for hours every day and has completed the whole game at least 30 times. In RDR 2, there is also a lot to discover, as players can even find hidden puzzles:
Interestingly, he does not want to know anything about the online mode of the game. Only the single-player keeps him entertained time and again. You can’t blame him, because in Red Dead Online, it took 7 months for an update to bring new content.
His enthusiasm for RDR 2 is immediately noticeable from the sweater he is wearing in the picture. His son gave it to him for his birthday, and he liked it very much.
Only RDR 2 and no other games
That’s why he doesn’t want to play anything else: ApeWatcher has tried several times to get his father interested in other games that might also interest him.
He tried with The Witcher 3, because it is also an open-world game where you can ride. But his father only had one answer: “Where are the cowboys in that?” So that seems to be the decisive factor that captivates him.
ApeWatcher wishes his father could play the first part of Red Dead Redemption, as it shows how the story continues. However, his father has neither access to an old console nor to a service where the game is available.
65-year-old is not alone in his enthusiasm: Under the post, two women aged 58 immediately responded. They are also fascinated by this game and actively play it. They say:
