Every few years, sometimes even every year, I start a new world in Terraria and play for several hours at a stretch, often up to 100 or more. Although I know a lot about Terraria already and have currently over 600 hours logged, I find something new with every playthrough.
Whether it’s weapons, many of which are just really fun and quite creative, or a new accessory that makes my character stronger.
Besides discovering, looting, and fighting, Terraria is full of surprises. Various events bring the world to life, and there’s a large number of NPCs that need a house built for them to move into your little village. Most NPCs even have a function, like the Goblin Tinkerer, where you can combine items to become even stronger.

What do I expect from the new update? The new update brings a huge number of new items, and since I have played very little as a summoner so far, this update is perfect for me. With a variety of new whips, I can finally unleash my spiders and other companions on the bosses properly.
Also, the many little new details, like events, the revamped crafting, or the new furniture sets, make me excited for the new update. I love spending time making my Terraria world really beautiful while taking a break from looting and bosses, or getting lost for three hours underground because I discover something interesting out of the corner of my eye.
