Destiny 2 offers new weapons with the launch of the new season. Some of these will positively impact your journeys. We at MeinMMO will show you which weapons those are in Season 15.
That’s why you should get these weapons: This weapon list is a mix of various weapon types that have benefited from Patch 3.3.0 added on August 24, 21. Some of the weapons have been newly added, while others you may already know, as they were present in the past and ultimately sunsetted.
With the update, some weapons have gained value, making it onto this list.
List of the current 6 best weapons in Season of the Lost
In the following section, we present the weapons with their best perks in PVE and PVP. We will also show you where and how to get them.
Nail
This is what makes the weapon strong: Thanks to innovations in the weapon sandbox, all fusion rifles benefited from increased damage. This gem is a linear fusion rifle in the heavy weapon slot.
Where do you get it? You can get this gun with some luck at the end of a battleground round. Alternatively, you can get Nail by focusing Umbral Engrams at the HELM.
These perks are important:
PVE
- Cannelured Barrel
- Liquid Coils
- Clown Cartridge
- Vorpal Weapon
Instead of the perk “Clown Cartridge,” the “Auto-Loading Holster” might be a good choice since the weapon’s reload speed is not all that quick.
PVP
- Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Accelerated Coils
- Kill Clip
- Seraph Rounds
Vex Mythoclast
What makes the weapon strong? The Vex Mythoclast benefited from a minor overhaul. Now this rifle deals 40% more damage in PVE and, with its range, it is one of the best auto rifles in its class.
The weapon fires fully automatic fusion rifle rounds. It has no spread, unlike what is typically expected from fusion rifles. However, the Vex Mythoclast also features a linear fusion rifle mode. This allows you to fire three shots after a successful charge. The weapon’s special ability charges through kills.
Where do you get it? You need to be lucky because this device can only be obtained at the end of the raid for the Glass Chamber. Each Guardian has a chance to get the weapon once, so a total of three times per week.
Something important about the Vex: This weapon is definitely a gem on its own and a good addition to your weapon arsenal. However, its true destructive power unfolds only when the catalyst is applied. This causes you to receive bonus precision, bonus damage, and bonus stability after a kill.
Additionally, the Vex can also be enhanced with the new mod “Particle Deconstruction”. All this makes the weapon a killing machine that mows down everything in its sights.
Since the Vex Mythoclast is an exotic weapon, the perks are fixed. There is no difference between PVP and PVE.
A Noble Remembrance
What makes the weapon strong? Machine guns were rarely used before Patch 3.3.0 and often replaced by rocket launchers. Now that MGs have also received a 20% damage boost in PVE, they could definitely perform much better.
Where do you get the MG? A Noble Remembrance can be earned on the Moon through the “Essence of Greed.” If you have completed the story from “Shadowkeep,” you have probably come across this essence. By completing the essence once, you can now buy it at the Table of Enchantment to get a good roll. You only need illusory essences for this.
These perks are crucial:
PVE
- Arrowhead Brake
- Extended Magazine
- Overflow
- Rampage
With this roll, you have an MG that can thin out entire enemy masses.
PVP
- Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Light Mag
- Firmly Planted
- Snapshot Sights
This perk constellation offers you an MG for quick use, which you can draw quickly and aim with rapidly. The build is optimized for range.
The Last Breath
What makes the weapon strong? You surely know this gun from the former Trials of the Nine. “The Last Breath” fires with a rate of fire of 600, somewhat slower than the well-known auto rifle “Chromatin Rush.” However, the rifle is more efficient at greater distances.
Where do you get it? The rifle can only be obtained in the dungeon “The Prophecy”. However, you also need luck, since the drop from the items in this dungeon is also random. It could be that you get no weapon in a run and are flooded with armor.
Which perks are crucial?
PVE
- Spiral Rifling
- Bouncers
- Overflow
- Rampage
With this roll, you have a solid auto rifle with good range and a magazine that refills itself through kills.
PVP
- Spiral
- Long Mag
- Kill Clip
- Targeting Adjuster
In PVP, this rifle is a real laser, and with the perk “Kill Clip,” you increase your mobility, range, and handling after each kill.
Right Hand II
What makes the weapon strong? Right Hand II, with its perks, offers the potential to become a true killing machine. Thanks to its high range, it performs well at any distance.
Where do you get it? You can obtain the rifle anywhere.
- Legendary Engrams
- Umbral Engrams
- Banshee’s Shop or his Ascendant Engrams
- From the Cryptarch
- After completing activities
These perks are important:
PVE
- Arrowhead Brake
- Tactical Magazine
- Feeding Frenzy
- Rampage
With this roll combination, you have a powerful pulse rifle in your hands, with the “Rampage” perk never running out.
PVP
- Spiral Rifling
- Tactical Magazine
- Kill Clip
- Origin Trait
The perks give the rifle solid handling and stability. Sometimes “Origin Trait” grants new ability energy after each kill.
Vulpecula
What makes the weapon strong? Vulpecula is one of the new weapons from Season 15. It belongs to the primary weapon category and deals Stasis damage. This weapon not only impresses with its statistics but also with its unique perks.
Where do you get this piece? You can obtain this hand cannon with some luck in the new activity “Astra Alignment” or through focused Umbral Engrams at the HELM.
These perks are crucial:
PVE
- Chambered Compensator
- Extra Magazine
- Looting Shot
- Harmony
“Looting Shot” and “Harmony” are two new perks added in Season 15. The “Looting Shot” perk allows you to recharge all equipped weapons by hitting a targeted ammo package. “Harmony” provides a damage and performance buff after a kill with another weapon.
PVP
- Cannelured Barrel
- Enhanced Rounds
- Kill Clip
- Explosive Payload
A good roll with solid stats on range and handling. Alternatively, the “Harmony” perk would also be a good choice instead of “Explosive Payload” – but that’s a matter of taste.
These weapons are definitely not the only best in Season 15. Some may still have to prove themselves over the course of the season, but this collection should give you a rough overview of the current weapon situation.
These are good weapons that would fit excellently into the current meta of Destiny 2. Have you already discovered a god roll for yourself, and if so, which one? Let us know in the comments which weapon you like.
