Extremely Good Advice –
This weapon is about: The heavy machine gun Extremely Good Advice is one of the most popular weapons from Destiny 1 and awaits there as a reward for an exotic quest for the Guardians.
Thanks to this special feature, the MG made its way into the hearts of players – especially in the “Vault of Glass” raid against the Oracles:
- Extremely Good Advice – Missed shots can return to the magazine. Hits can be replenished from your reserves.
This made almost endless sustained fire possible. No matter if you hit or not, the Exotic just kept firing.
Here’s the situation with the AI: The original owner of Extremely Good Advice feared he would be consumed by time itself during his forays against the time-manipulating Vex. Thus, he needed a companion to ground him in reality.
His favored weapon was then equipped with an AI. This developed significantly and formed a deep connection with its bearer – who was ultimately taken out by the most famous Destiny killer.
Later, the Exotic used its experiences to protect its new owner (us) and keep them from a grim fate.
Engineers despise the idea that all intelligent systems spontaneously develop personality and consciousness … but it seems undeniable that with Extremely Good Advice, personality, memory, and a certain cheekiness manifest.

These 2 weapon Exotics are actually evil gods
Among the Guardians, it is almost a matter of course to annihilate powerful Hive gods and forge powerful weapons from their remains. Some of these consist not only of parts of these deities, but are still imbued with their spirit and demand kills.
Whispers of the Worm – A weapon strives for more power beyond death
This weapon is about: The exotic sniper rifle Whispers of the Worm is probably one of the most popular weapons in Destiny. Partly this is due to the top-notch Exotic quest, and partly due to the strength of the sniper, which is rooted in its perks:
- White Nail – Higher base precision damage. Three quick precision hits refill the magazine.
- Mulligan – Missed shots have a chance to return ammunition directly to the magazine.
Despite numerous adjustments and nerfs, the mighty Exotic has fought its way into the inventory of Guardians and this fits perfectly with the plan of an evil god.
Here’s the situation with the god: In the story of the Warmind expansion , we fight and defeat the insatiable worm god Xol. The monstrous “worm” the size of a multi-story house, however, managed to escape death.
Instead of truly dying or hiding in a dark world, Xol wanted to be part of our superiority to satisfy his hunger for power. He essentially volunteered to become a tool that we can use to bring destruction and satiate the worm’s appetite.
The power of a Guardian is a rich food source. Do not feel repulsed. Some parasites use their host… with teeth sharper than yours.

Malicious Touch – Divine pain for all
This weapon is about: The Exotic Malicious Touch is a raid weapon from Destiny 1 that serves as a reward after a truly long and arduous quest. It shines with a cool story and unique perks:
- Malicious Touch – The last bullet of the magazine regenerates itself and causes bonus damage at the cost of the bearer’s life.
- Merciful Touch – Three quick kills grant the bearer some health back.
If Guardians could endure endless pain, an infinite rate of fire with the Malicious Touch would be no problem. This would also align perfectly with Hive God Oryx, the creator.
Here’s the situation with the god: Oryx, the Taken King, Hive God, father of the wicked Crota and the coolest Destiny villain ever feared that he would one day be slain. Thus, he created the calcified fragments, in which his story and will are interwoven. We Guardians hunt these things, of course, for the sake of loot.
Thus empowered, the finder could forge a weapon that also contained Oryx’s heart and would allow him to live on forever.
In doing so, Oryx demonstrated that (at least the third) death could not stop him. The noble Guardians who brought down the god would make the universe feel unimaginable pain through the Malicious Touch.
When I look at the interior of these cold, cold fragments, I see blind, writhing creatures. Every wound they inflict, they feel themselves.

My name is Byf consciously does not list Xenophage among the weapons with consciousness. The machine gun is powered by an alien insect, but the weapon itself has no intelligence or feelings.
How powerful this weapon is, even professionals are amazed: Experts in Destiny 2 say: Formerly weakest Exotic is now a fierce boss killer
