There is a scene in which the female heroes of the group gather and work together to secure Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet from the opponents.
The moment polarized the audience. While some celebrated the scene as a great representation of female power, others criticized it as hypocritical.

The director had mixed feelings when she saw the scene
Director Nia DaCosta, who is working on the upcoming film ‘The Marvels’, talks in a video from Entertainment Weekly about the female heroes scene in Avengers: Endgame.
When she saw the brief moment when the women gathered, she was both captivated but also felt a negative emotion.
She says: ‘I watched Avengers: Endgame like many women around the globe, and there were these six seconds where all the Marvel women were together. I got goosebumps, but I was also very annoyed.’
DaCosta explains where the annoyance came from: ‘I thought to myself: Two hours of that, please.’
Now, in a way, DaCosta’s wish is coming true with The Marvels: ‘It was really nice that they decided to make a team-up film with three of my favorite heroines. And that was the most exciting thing.’
The Marvels, directed by Nia DaCosta, revolves around the superhero trio Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau. From November 8, 2023, you can see the film in German cinemas.
