What kind of game is this? Fortnite is a PvP shooter from Epic Games, where the goal is to survive as the last player in a match. You are dropped into a game world with up to 99 other players, where you compete against each other.
The world shrinks over the course of the match, so you can’t hide forever. In the end, a showdown occurs, where only one player survives.
Apart from the Battle Royale, there is the PvE game “Save the World”. This coop version was the original Fortnite but receives significantly less attention than the detached and immensely popular mode Fortnite Battle Royale. “Save the World” remains paid.

Although Fortnite essentially only focuses on the Battle Royale with 100 players, there is plenty of variety within the matches. This is due to the structure of the game systems. There are:
- Different types of weapons and weapon types
- An extensive building system
- Loot drops that randomly fall from the sky – in general, loot is random in Fortnite
- Regular events that liven up the game

Why should you play Fortnite in September?
On August 27, Season 4 started in Fortnite. It revolves around the Marvel heroes, probably in line with the new Marvel’s Avengers. Throughout the season, you can unlock various new skins, including well-known characters like Thor, Groot, or Wolverine.
In addition, well-known rifts have appeared on the map. These often signify something big. The first rift brought us the giant cube Kevin, which rolled through the map for weeks. This time, Thor seems to play a larger role in the story.
