Population Zero – Space MMO
Genre: Survival | Developer: Enplex Games | Platform: PC | Release Date: May 5, 2020 (EA) | Model: Buy2Play
What is Population Zero? In the MMO Population Zero, you strand as an explorer on the planet Kepler and fight for survival against other players.
You can gather resources, fight against aliens in PvE, and against other players in PvP. You can also build your own shelter. Additionally, there are 3 NPC factions you can join through quests.
Visually, Population Zero reminds of a combination of No Man’s Sky and Last Oasis with its colorful graphics and setting on an alien planet.
Highlights of Population Zero
Population Zero features many elements that differ from classic survival MMOs:
- A game cycle lasts 7 days, after which the world resets.
- You have this time to complete your assigned tasks and earn rewards for your account.
- If you die too often, you turn into a super-alien, making it easier to achieve your goals.
- However, if you die as an alien, you are out of the current round.
- Additional game modes and PvP arenas are also planned, which can be unlocked through account rewards.
Why Should You Play Population Zero in May?
On May 5, the survival MMO enters Early Access on Steam. You can be among the first players to try out Population Zero and explore a completely new game world.
However, according to early beta tests, the game struggles with common issues found in PvP games: Campers and large clans make it difficult for solo players to achieve their goals.
