The next update for World of Warcraft is coming soon to the PTR. Blizzard has already revealed what’s included. We present the 6 highlights from patch 8.2.5
Just recently Azshara fell in the Mythic mode of the Eternal Palace raid and Blizzard already reveals how World of Warcraft will continue. The next patch with version number 8.2.5 will soon arrive on the PTR. The developers have already disclosed which content will be available. We briefly present the highlights here.
These are the 6 highlights of WoW patch 8.2.5 from the PTR
New models for Worgen and Goblins: For many players, this might be the highlight, as Worgen and Goblins finally receive their new character models. These have been promised since Warlords of Draenor, and now this promise will finally be fulfilled. Their legacy armor will also be revealed.
Timewalking – Firelands: With patch 8.2.5, the old raid “Firelands” will be reworked so that it will also be available during Timewalking: Cataclysm. Players can visit the raid and will be downscaled to the values of that time. However, the rewards within the raid correspond to items that the character can also use well outside the raid at level 120. Who wouldn’t want to hit Ragnaros and his Majordomo Staghelm once again?
If you’ve forgotten – here’s the trailer for the Firelands:
Bee mount for Alliance is coming: Everyone thought this mount was already in the game, but that is not the case. Soon, Alliance players will be able to earn a bee mount and fly through the skies. The questline will somehow begin in Stormsong Valley, but exact details are not yet known.
15th Anniversary Event brings many contents: During the time of patch 8.2.5, World of Warcraft will also celebrate its official 15th birthday. There will be many celebrations and players can dive into three special raids. Here they will fight against the most popular raid bosses of all past expansions. Those who defeat all 9 bosses during the event will receive a special mount that looks like a smaller Deathwing. PvP players can look forward to a “classic” Alterac Valley – without tickets. Here, the game continues until a commander falls.
“Refer a Friend” is returning: Soon, players will be able to refer each other again and grab great rewards. This rewards mounts, pets, game time, and other things. The system will scale with the number of referred players, making it more rewarding than ever. The longer your referred friends buy game time, the more rewards there will be – month by month.
Party Sync brings players together: Another feature Blizzard wants to try is called “Party Sync”. With this, players can lower themselves to the level of their friends in order to be able to run dungeons with them that would otherwise be too easy for them. This should encourage more people to play together and allow veterans to do something with newcomers.
As for the story of patch 8.2.5 – and whether there will be new story quests – no information is available yet. It’s quite possible that patch 8.2.5 focuses only on improvements to existing systems.
Are you looking forward to patch 8.2.5? Or do you still have enough to do with patch 8.2 that you can’t even think about the next patch?
