What is Phasmophobia? In Phasmophobia, you play as a team of four ghost hunters who are tasked with freeing a haunted house from a ghost. To do this, you need to proceed with caution and first collect clues about the ghost and its nature.
Afterwards, you have to cautiously exorcise the ghost using various items without angering it too much. Because then the ghost will become angry and can gruesomely kill you at worst.
This cool and entertaining game concept has made Phasmophobia a hit on Twitch.
What are the features of Phasmophobia? In Phasmophobia, you use your voice to communicate with the ghost. But the ghost may also be listening and reacts to certain words and terms. There have been instances where ghosts became very aggressive because they were insulted.
Each of the 10 different types of ghosts is unique, and due to the constantly newly assembled haunted houses and circumstances, every round in Phasmophobia is different. So, when you dare to enter a haunted house, you never know what will happen.
You can increase this thrill by playing Phasmophobia in VR, as the game supports it. You can easily play with friends who don’t have VR. The only downside: so far, the speech recognition of the ghosts only works in English; there is currently no German language version available.
What does Phasmophobia cost? Phasmophobia is not a free-to-play game, but at around 10 euros on Steam, it’s not an expensive AAA game for which you have to dig deep into your pockets.
Who is Phasmophobia suitable for? Phasmophobia is a game for all horror fans who like to scare themselves with friends. When you start a round, everything is still uncertain, and you cautiously wander through a dark ghost house. At any moment, a ghost can appear and scare or even kill you.
If you love this kind of thrill and are keen on solving new paranormal cases, then Phasmophobia is definitely the right game for you. But be careful not to join lobbies with nasty hackers who want to trolly you with unexpected ghost attacks and scare you.
