What is it about? Takao is a 15-year-old student with a dream of becoming a shoemaker. On rainy days, he skips school and heads to the park. There he meets the mysterious 27-year-old Yukari, with whom he gradually becomes friends.
However, it later turns out that Yukari is a teacher at Takao’s school. She has taken a break from her job because she is being bullied at school. Although their paths later diverge, they still leave a lasting impression on each other’s lives.
Why do I not have to go outside with this anime? The film immediately makes the viewer want to take a walk in the rain. The park is full of plants and lush vegetation.
Combined with the gentle art style, where especially in the scenes set in the park the outlines are replaced by green tones, the anime feels like a balm for the soul. It calms simply through the beautiful nature and vegetation.
