On October 15th, ArcheAge Unchained was released and first players have already reached level 50. However, many new players have also discovered the MMORPG. We would like to provide 5 tips for them.
What is this article about? The sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge brings some specific features that don’t always explain themselves. With our 5 tips, we would like to make it easier for you to get started and prevent some beginner mistakes.
1. Level your equipment
What should you consider with the equipment? With the first quests in the game, you can choose chests for armor and weapons as rewards. Make sure to take the right chests according to your playstyle, because you can use this equipment until max level.
During the following green quests, you will receive Infusion of the Peoples quests: Rank 1. You can use these to upgrade your armor. Just open the equipment enhancement in your inventory.
There, you put the equipment in and press “automatically list”, so you don’t use too much or too little of the infusions.
Awakening equipment: After synthesizing your equipment, you can awaken it. There are scrolls that you receive shortly before level 30.
You simply click on these and use your equipment. It will be raised to level 28 as a prerequisite and gains values like strength or agility through awakening.
Even at higher levels, you will find additional possibilities to expand your equipment. Thus, your starting equipment remains reliable until max level.
How do I change incorrect values on the equipment? With the help of Evonstones that you receive from the blacksmith, you can disassemble equipment. In the process, you will get back the infusions you used.
After that, you can buy a new chest with equipment and only then upgrade it and awaken it.
2. Labor Points are important
What are labor points? Labor points are a currency in ArcheAge that regenerates over time. You receive 10 labor points every 5 minutes, regardless of whether you are online or offline. You can have up to 5,000 labor points at a time.
With labor points, you can gather materials, craft items, or identify objects, and you need them for housing. Labor points also grant you experience points, which is very useful for leveling up.

How do I make the best use of labor points? Labor points should definitely be used so that you benefit from the passive regeneration.
The effective use is in crafting. You should only level one of the 22 professions at first, as you will receive useful items and more XP for it later. You need a total of 180,000 labor points to maximize a profession.
However, keep in mind that you hold back labor points for housing if you want to build a house directly at the opening of the land rush, which is expected on Saturday.
How do I get back labor points? In addition to the passive wait time, you can also actively earn additional labor points. The ArchePass helps from level 30. This occasionally rewards you with labor points.
3. How the ArchePass works
What is the ArchePass? The ArchePass is a new feature in ArcheAge that allows you to earn additional rewards through daily missions.
The pass is available in different versions:
- General
- Crafting
- Equipment
- Combat
Each pass has a free and a premium variant. In the free pass, you receive useful potions or materials appropriate to the respective type of pass, while the paid version mainly provides cosmetic content.
The premium pass costs almost 10 euros.
4. Combo Skills
What are Combos? Certain skills in ArcheAge offer you a combo attack. They then interact with effects such as bleeding or blindness and have an additional force.
So pay attention to your skills which you can combine and build more effective rotations. Various Skill Calculators that you can find online are recommended to try out.
5. Emails for more inventory space
How do I get more inventory space? In the old ArcheAge, one could simply buy additional inventory space. In Unchained, this is no longer possible, but there is a nice way to work around the problem.
Besides the option to store your items, you can also simply send them to yourself by mail. You can retrieve them later when you need the items.
With this small trick, you save a lot of space.
