In Fortnite, there is already a whole range of skins that you can buy or earn through the Battle Pass. However, some skins have triggered a genuine contempt in me due to their obnoxious presence in sweaty situations. That’s why I will show you 5 skins that I know you hate, too.
How did I come up with this selection? My name is Christos Tsogos, I am a freelance writer for MeinMMO, and I have been playing Fortnite for a very long time. Since I am active in Battle Royal every day, I see many skins on my way.
However, these 5 skins appeared so negatively that every conceivable time I saw them, I considered turning off my console. In every encounter and lost battle, you either got a “Take the L” or “Floss” thrown at you. Enough reason to throw my gamepad to Buxtehude.
But keep in mind that this is my personal opinion and experience. So, if you are among the exceptions and think the skins mentioned here are great without fitting the stereotype of a sweaty player, please don’t feel offended.
But enough about me, now let’s get to my most hated skins in Fortnite that you probably hate as well.
These are my 5 most despised skins in Battle Royale mode
I am listing the hate-skins here and briefly describing why they are among the worst. Here are the candidates:
- Aurora
- Superheroes to Customize
- iKonik
- Soccer Players
- Manic
Aura, also known as the Hipster Skin
Why is it so horrible? Players who choose this appearance are either fascinated by it, as there is a lot of detail in such an inexpensive skin, or to annoy people to the last nerve. It may be that for 800 V-Bucks there is a lot offered, but you see them in every match, 20 times.
From noobs to ultra-sweaters, it’s all there. However, the sweaters prevail. I usually play squads or trios, and when I come across a team that has such a skin, I look for the nearest escape. In my opinion, Epic Games should ban this skin from the shop for a year to finally allow for other personalization options.
The Superheroes, also known as the Super-Cucumbers
Why are they so horrible? This variation didn’t appear as frequently as Aura, but if you encounter them, run. This appearance is mostly used by bots or hardcore players.
No matter what match I stumbled upon these cucumber squads, they have edited me into the ground and smoked my honor in their pipe. That’s why I keep a wide berth from them, and if a confrontation is unavoidable, I come with a truck.
iKonik, also known as the Task Destroyer
Why is he so horrible? I cannot express in words the immense damage he has already inflicted on my career as a Fortnite player. Let’s start with his emote. His boy band dance after every kill has robbed me of sleep ever since.
I experience real flashbacks when I see this guy, but that’s not enough. Every time I want to complete tasks, this scoundrel shows up, kills me, emoting, kills the quest NPC, and leaves the game.
The Soccer Skins, also known as Aggressive Strikers
Why are they so horrible? These kickers are pure pest. They always come in groups and take you out. Every escape attempt is futile, as they will chase you across the entire map with their strikers. If they catch you, that’s not all.
A real bullying starts, as they always take my dead character, throw it against walls, and then pickaxe it to death. One thing has become clear to me as I observed this skin in its actions. They are sadists, that’s for sure.
Manic, also known as the Contract Killer
Why is she so horrible? Manic is very peculiar as her behavior resembles that of a contract killer. No matter how far away you are, if Manic spots you, it’s over. She usually comes with her sister “Aura” and causes annoying build duels.
But these are already decided from the start. If you want to save yourself some nerves, don’t mess with her unless you are 4 and all have a rocket launcher.
Those were my 5 most hated skins in Fortnite. To clarify, I am not a player who gets upset or provoked quickly. I formed my opinion because such experiences have occurred over a longer period. It is also astonishing to see that no matter which player chooses this appearance, you know right from the first sight that they are probably broken sweaters.
