Diverse Cast, Representing Everyone
The Sailor warriors are so characteristically different that every viewer could identify with at least one of them. Bunny is a clumsy girl who is not particularly engaged in school. Amy, on the other hand, is a smart head who analyzes problematic situations with a rational mind. The other warriors also have their quirks.
Even the male audience is represented by Mamoru. However, he often turns out to be a burden in many situations.
A significant plus point is that even the LGBTQ+ community is represented in Sailor Moon. Haruka and Michiru are two women in a romantic relationship. They are pioneers for the normalization of LGBTQ+ individuals in animes. Many lesbian couples can still identify with them today.

Especially the love between Bunny and Mamoru is an important theme throughout the entire anime. It evolves from a childish romance to a deep, serious relationship. Even today, it is heartwarming to see how they mature and support each other.

Humor that’s Not Lacking
Sailor Moon doesn’t just deal with serious themes but also sprinkles in a dose of humor from time to time. Bunny is the best example of this, as her clumsy antics often bring laughter. The hilarious situations in which the Sailor warriors find themselves in private life amuse both die-hard fans and newcomers to the series.
Even Amy, who thinks more rationally, has her funny moments. There is an episode where Seiya’s towel gets ripped off his body. All the warriors cover their eyes, except for Amy, who peeks briefly. There are other scenes like the Snow White contest, where Makoto claims she is the best fit due to her breast size.
