3. Red-Haired Pirates (Captain: Shanks)
So far, the Red-Haired Pirates have not appeared much in One Piece. Especially their captain Shanks, from whom Luffy got his straw hat, remains rare throughout the anime. He is one of the strongest fighters in One Piece who has not eaten a Devil Fruit.
Instead, Shanks has full control over all three types of Haki: Armament Haki, Observation Haki, and Conqueror’s Haki. His Conqueror’s Haki is so strong that he can threaten even Marine Admirals from a distance, causing them to flee.
Although he was part of the Roger Pirates, who have already found the One Piece, he wants to find the legendary treasure himself with his crew. Shanks was not present at the One Piece because his comrade Buggy fell ill. He chose to nurse Buggy back to health instead.
He is also seeking the Road Poneglyphs and has already managed to take one of his copies from Eustass Kid. With his tremendous Haki powers and the knowledge that he needs the Road Poneglyphs, his chances of finding the One Piece look promising.
Additionally, Chance has a strong and reliable crew by his side. It is not known whether any of the crew members have eaten a Devil Fruit, but the individual members are experts in their fields. Lysop’s father is also part of Shanks’ crew and is a gifted marksman.
4. Cross Guild (Captain: Buggy)
The Cross Guild has only existed for a short time. It is an alliance between Sir Crocodile, Mihawk Dulacre, and Buggy the Clown. All three were part of the Seven Samurai in the past. Due to a misunderstanding, Buggy was declared the leader of the Cross Guild, but Sir Crocodile and Mihawk hold the real power behind the scenes.
All three pirates are capable fighters: Sir Crocodile was once defeated by Luffy but managed to escape from the Impel Down prison. Mihawk Dulacre is the strongest swordsman in the world and has already defeated Zoro decisively. Buggy has also been defeated by Luffy, but he always manages to fight back.
Other strong members who remain loyal to Sir Crocodile and Buggy include:
- Jazz Boner (Iron-Blade Fruit)
- Alvida (Alabaster Fruit)
- Gal Dino (Wax Fruit)
They have all been defeated by Luffy, Sanji, or Zoro, but with their strong leaders at the helm, the chances of obtaining the One Piece are not bad.
Buggy’s ultimate goal is to become the Pirate King. And thanks to a transponder snail, the rest of the crew knows that the goal of the Cross Guild is to seize the treasure. However, Mihawk and Crocodile actually have a different goal: They want to implement the Utopia Plan and establish a strong military state.
