Star Wars: Battlefront 2 – More story and content than part 1!
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the successor to the controversial predecessor Battlefront and has a lot to make up for. Because the old Battlefront turned out to be quite a letdown, which, although it looked great and generated a Star Wars feeling, couldn’t captivate for long.
Gameplay was not challenging enough, and the content was too meager. Although it was gradually expanded through paid DLCs, this did not bring much more joy to the players.
Four times as many planets as in the predecessor
You cannot accuse Battlefront 2 of a lack of content. The new game brings nearly four times as many locations to the screen, including new places that have never been seen in any game of the franchise before. For example, Ryloth, home of the Twi’lek, or the fleet base Fondor with its imperial docks.
There is an abundance of choice when it comes to heroes. You can embody not only the usual suspects like Luke, Leia, Han, Darth Vader, or Boba Fett but also heroes and villains like Rey, Darth Maul, Captain Phasma, and Finn.
The times when everyone ran around the battlefield without a plan and task are over, because Battlefront 2 offers classes again in its 5 game modes. Your soldiers are either Officer, Heavy, Assault, or Specialist. This also changes your task. For instance, the Heavy must provide covering fire, while the Specialist sets explosives and traps.
Finally a story!
Especially cool is that Battlefront 2 finally offers a story again. This makes it the first title in the Star Wars universe in years that lets you experience a story. But it gets even better! In the campaign, you do not play the umpteenth rebel scoundrel.
Rather, you slip into the tight TIE pilot suit of Iden Versio, an elite soldier of the Empire and a space badass anti-heroine, whom even the renegade version of Commander Shepard from Mass Effect would respect. Unfortunately, the campaign is said to last only about 5 hours.
Battlefront 2 will be released on November 17, and those who have the expensive Elite Trooper Edition can start on November 14. And anyone who subscribes to Origin Access or EA Access on PC or Xbox One can even check out Battlefront 2 starting from November 9.
