The Division – Update 1.8 with major innovations
In the shared-world shooter The Division, innovations are on the horizon. For Update 1.8, 10 new features will be introduced in the agent shooter. The update is set to launch in early December, likely on December 5, and unfortunately does not contain any new story missions or a raid. However, there will be the following new, free contents!
More open world, global events, and PvP modes
Update 1.8 will be quite big and has 10 cool new features that you, as a Division fan, should not miss:
- You will get a larger open-world map that expands in the northwest around the “West Side Pier”. Enemies will spawn here dynamically. Your foes can appear anywhere!
- There will be new story content, but no missions. Instead, there will be more audio logs to bring you closer to the story.
- Look forward to the new PvE Endless Mode “Resistance”. In this mode, you’ll take down wave after wave of enemies. The longer you endure, the more loot there is.
- Additionally, there is the new PvP mode “Conflict”, which is basically an action-packed deathmatch without frills. It involves 4vs4 matches on a total of 3 maps.
- After Update 1.8, there should be new global events. These will likely last a week each and will introduce secret gear sets into the game.
- If you like loot, you can look forward to new equipment. There will be four new exotic weapons among other things.
- The resource “Division Tech” will be useful again, and there are new ways to find it. With this stuff, you can now optimize your equipment retroactively and push it to the new maximum gear score of 286.
- To make it worthwhile again in the Dark Zone to commit acts of treachery or hunt down such rogue agents, the system for rogues has been revamped. Now you can also find exotics and secret gear sets as a rogue.
- The Underground has finally been overhauled, and there are now exotics and secret gear sets there as well.
On Page Three you can expect a game that promises you an epic story.
