Outlook for the end of October and November 2020
So much for the top games in October. But there are more good games and updates coming this month, some of which will only be released late in the month. Therefore, we will only briefly introduce them here.
Watch Dogs Legion
What kind of game is this? In Watch Dogs Legion, you must free the fascist-ruled Great Britain. To do this, you recruit agents from the population and complete missions. If your agent dies, they are gone forever, and you must find new “employees”.
What is happening in October? On October 29, Watch Dogs Legion will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. The game can also be played in co-op with up to three players. There are even missions specifically designed for multiple players.
Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods
What kind of game is this? This is a stand-alone DLC for Doom Eternal. You do not need the base game. The developers see Ancient Gods more like the second part of a big movie. Basically, in Ancient Gods, you get the same as you did in Doom Eternal: intense, brutal battles against a massive horde of demons.
What is happening in October? On October 20, Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods will be released. There are no new weapons, but more levels and enemies. The multiplayer mode will be significantly revised, with better matchmaking and more demons you can play as.
World of Warcraft – Shadowlands
What kind of game is this? World of Warcraft is a classic MMORPG from 2005. In the game, you fight for either the Horde or the Alliance, either against each other or against general threats, such as the Lich King, ancient dragons, or even a demon legion.
With now 7 expansions, the game has grown larger and more powerful. With Shadowlands, the 8th expansion is about to hit the market. The release of Shadowlands was initially planned for October but has been postponed.
What is happening at release? With Shadowlands, it goes into the afterlife of World of Warcraft, the Shadowlands. In addition to new areas and many new adventures, there are numerous meaningful improvements: The leveling process has been drastically revised, characters can be designed much more individually, and decisions once again have an impact – for example, which of the four major covenants the players want to join.
