We chose pickaxes in this list that can only be purchased in the item shop, as these may be offered again, giving players a chance to acquire a rare piece someday.
Rare pickaxes from season passes cannot be obtained again, as season items can no longer be earned after the season ends. We will therefore constantly update this list if any of the rare candidates happen to find their way into the item shop.

Their list has also dated all the release data. We compared all pickaxes based on when they were released and how often they appeared. This led us to the following candidates:
5. Flimsie Flail
What kind of pickaxe is this? This tool features an inflated boxing buddy with which you can bash your opponents. This harvesting tool was released on March 2, 2019, in Chapter 1 Season 7. After its release, this pickaxe appeared only twice in the shop before disappearing on March 4, 2019. Since then, collectors have waited 1165 days for this pickaxe (as of May 11, 2022).

How much does the pickaxe cost? The harvesting tool has a rarity of “Uncommon” and therefore costs 500 V-Bucks. In line with its appearance, the pickaxe belongs to the “Tech Ops” set.
2. Tooth Pick
What kind of pickaxe is this? This massive tool with a fixed tooth is called “Tooth Pick” and ranks second. The release took place on December 14, 2017, in Chapter 1 Season 1. This absurd club last appeared in the shop 1195 days ago (as of May 11, 2022).

1. Drumbeat
What kind of pickaxe is this? This is the rarest pickaxe that you can buy – The drumstick “Drumbeat”. It was released in Chapter 1 Season 5 on September 2, 2018, and has only been brought to the item shop twice since then. Since then, 1345 days have passed (as of May 11, 2022) without this pickaxe returning to the shop.
How much does the pickaxe cost? The harvesting tool has a rarity of “Uncommon” and therefore costs 500 V-Bucks. In line with its appearance, the pickaxe belongs to the “Flower Power” set.
The good thing about these items is that you might eventually get the chance to acquire one of them to also possess rare items. So if you want a piece of history from Fortnite, don’t give up, eventually these items will return to the shop so you as a new player can obtain something from Chapter 1.
