How are Guardians revived?
Not every Guardian has a perfect body before their revival. Some are ancient, have no organic material left, and are just bones, yet how does a Ghost manage to equip a pile of skeletons with muscles, skin, hair, and functioning organs? The lore book: Constellations (via ishtar-collective.net) provides us with the answer.
It states: “I crouch down and watch as it hovers over the ancient remains of a person who can barely be recognized as something that once lived. The Ghost hovers nervously over the body and then scans it with pale light. Before my eyes, flesh grows over the old bones, and tattered rags come together. The person, a woman, gasps and sits up.”
Essentially, the power of light from the Traveler generates the growth and regeneration of cells, forming muscle mass and organic material. For Exos, the process is likely much easier, as long as the shell is not damaged, the machine simply boots up.
