Official information about the new game in the series Battlefield in 2021 is still scarce. However, rumors are still circulating, fueled once again by further leaked screenshots from the yet-to-be-released trailer of the game. The latest image leaks finally reveal the supposed name of the game.
What’s the significance of the images? In addition to the screenshots already known from the unreleased trailer for the new Battlefield game, more screenshots from the trailer have now surfaced. The images also come from the Discord server of well-known Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson, who has often published accurate information about Battlefield in advance.
The images could therefore be quite real. However, they are marked with annoying troll faces, possibly to avoid legal issues.
What do the new image leaks show? Of the new images, the last one is particularly interesting. The first images do not show much recognizable, but we see:
- A rocket launch: In some of the images, a launching rocket can be seen. The scaffolding is breaking away, and confused figures are scurrying around the projectile. It seems to be a battle over this rocket, which might be prevented from launching? In other images, the thing seems to have already launched.
- An explosion: Another image shows just a spectacular explosion. The sky is darkened by the cloud of smoke and debris, and figures are stumbling around, disoriented and thrown by the detonation.
Is the new title really just “Battlefield”?
What does the final image show? However, the last image displays the supposed name of the new game. Surprisingly, the title is apparently not “Battlefield 6” or anything like that. It simply says “Battlefield” in neon blue against a black background. Strange stripes also horizontally cross the image. The whole image reminds one of the aesthetics of the 80s.
How certain is this title? Is the new installment of the shooter series really just called “Battlefield” without a number or additional title? At least in the leaked image, nothing like that can be seen. But note the ugly troll face along with a black censor bar, which cheekily intrudes into the image.
There could very well be a “6” behind it, which could just fit in the middle of the picture. Moreover, we do not know when this screenshot was taken. So it could very well be that just a second later in the trailer, a number or a subtitle would have been blended into the image. According to leaker Tom Henderson, the new game is supposed to represent a kind of reboot of the series, and such a simple name would indeed be fitting.
This is how fans are reacting: On Reddit, fans have already started modifying the leaked image according to their own ideas. A user enhanced and sharpened the image a bit. In this version, the image with the title looks futuristic and simple, yet still promising.
