What kind of game is this? Neocron 2 was originally released in 2004 as an expansion and later as a successor to Neocron. It is a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk MMORPG that relies on a first-person perspective and firearms.
When creating a character, you have the choice of 4 different classes that you can later expand by distributing skill points.

What role do drugs play? According to a beginner’s guide from 2005, drugs play an essential role in Neocron. They temporarily increase the character’s attributes. You can take multiple drugs, which further boosts your attributes.
However, this also leads to a “drug flash.” The more drugs you take, the more influence it has on you. At first, the screen blurs, you start crawling, or your vision goes completely black. In the worst case, a “drug flash” can even lead to the character’s death.
For some weapons or equipment, it is even necessary that you are under a certain drug. If you stop using it, you lose your equipped weapon. This simulates a sort of dependency.
How are drugs portrayed? Drugs play an important role in the endgame because they can be used to improve your stats. However, the problems and risks associated with consumption are also highlighted.
